Messaging Terms
These Messaging Terms describe the text messaging and instant messaging program operated by Trialtech SL, Avda. De los Charcos 19, 28860 Madrid, Spain, hereinafter referred to as "Un Ensayo para Mí". They apply whenever you communicate with us by SMS text message or WhatsApp.
These Messaging Terms complement our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions. Where these Messaging Terms conflict with our general Terms and Conditions on matters relating to messaging, these Messaging Terms prevail.
1. What this messaging program is
Un Ensayo para Mí connects people who are interested in participating in clinical research studies with the research sites conducting those studies.
If you have expressed interest in a study and have given us your consent, a member of our team may contact you by text message or WhatsApp in order to:
• Answer questions you may have about the study,
• Ask you questions to help determine whether you may be eligible to participate,
• Schedule, confirm or remind you of a screening appointment at a participating research site, and
• Send you information related to the study you expressed interest in.
All messages are one-to-one and conversational. We do not send bulk messages, and we do not send promotional or marketing messages through this program.
2. Consent
We only send messages to people who have voluntarily provided their mobile phone number and have expressly agreed to receive them.
Your consent is specific to the study you expressed interest in. If you later express interest in a different study, we will ask for your consent again.
Consent to receive messages is never a condition of participating in any study or of receiving any service from us. If you prefer not to receive messages, you may ask us to contact you by telephone or email instead.
Where the person who provides the mobile phone number is a family member, caregiver or legal representative acting on behalf of a potential participant, the consent to receive messages is given by the person who owns the phone number provided.
3. Choice of channel
Where more than one channel is available, you may choose whether you prefer to receive messages by SMS text message or by WhatsApp. You may ask us to change your preferred channel at any time by replying to any message.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your conversation with our team and on the stage of the process you are in. We do not send messages on a fixed schedule.
5. Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Un Ensayo para Mí does not charge you for these messages. Your mobile carrier or internet service provider may charge you according to your plan. If you are unsure about the cost, please check with your carrier before replying.
6. How to stop receiving messages
You may stop receiving messages at any time and at no cost.
• Reply STOP to any text message.
• You may also simply tell us in your own words, in English or Spanish, that you do not wish to receive further messages. For example: "stop texting me", "remove me from your list", "no quiero recibir más mensajes". We will honor your request.
• You may also write to support@trialtech.es at any time.
Once you opt out, we will stop sending you messages about that study. If you have consented to more than one study, please tell us whether you wish to stop receiving messages about all of them.
Opting out of messages does not withdraw any other consent you may have given, and does not affect your ability to participate in a study. If you have already enrolled in a study, please contact your research site directly regarding any study-related communications.

8. Carriers and delivery
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier, your device and your coverage, and cannot be guaranteed. Messages are supported on major mobile carriers, but delivery is not guaranteed on all carriers or on all devices.
Please do not rely on text messaging for urgent or emergency communications. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
9. Your mobile information and your privacy
Mobile phone numbers, text messaging originator opt-in data, and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We use your mobile phone number solely to communicate with you about the clinical study you expressed interest in. Where we share your information with a research site, we do so only with your explicit consent and only for the purpose of your possible participation in that study. Where we use service providers acting on our behalf under contract, those providers may use your mobile information only as necessary to provide services to Un Ensayo para Mí, and never for their own marketing purposes.

10. Record of your consent
When you give your consent to receive messages, we record the date and time, the text of the consent notice that was displayed to you, and the technical details of your submission. We keep this record so that we can demonstrate that your consent was given, and so that we can respond to any request or complaint you may raise.
11. Messages are not medical advice
Messages sent by our team are for informational and coordination purposes only. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified physician.
Expressing interest in a study, answering our questions, or attending a screening appointment does not mean you have enrolled in a study. Participation in a clinical study always requires that you review and sign a separate informed consent document with the research site before any study procedure takes place.
12. Minors
This messaging program is intended for adults. Where a study involves participants under the age of 18, we communicate with a parent or legal guardian, and the consent to receive messages is given by that adult.
13. Changes to these Messaging Terms
Un Ensayo para Mí reserves the right to adapt these Messaging Terms, where necessary, to changed legal or factual conditions. The version published on this page is the version in force.
